After returning from Chicago this past week I am even more aware that Portland may be the most beautiful place in the US. Chicago had a few inches of snow last weekend and nothing was green and blooming. Here… the cherry blossoms have come and gone, the weather has consistently been in the sixties and it’s just so darn pretty. I feel very blessed to be here.
So we took our first trip to Salem’s wine country to attend a marketing event thrown by Becky Simpson from No Ordinary Affair. We didn’t get to stay long but we were able to make a few quick connections and learn more about The Trolley company who provides wedding and event transportation. We personally love trolley’s for wedding party transportation especially over a limo because they seat a lot of people comfortably, are very easy to get in and out of (girls with constricting dresses and heals should like that!), and they are pretty cool to look at. The drivers all wear vintage clothing and they are very knowledgeable about the area. It could definitely add a special touch to any wedding.
We also got to peak around Zenith Vineyard’s event space and it’s pretty great. Awesome scenery, big bright rooms, and sophisticated decor. I really hope we are able to shoot here soon.

I was pretty surprised how many people turned out. But maybe it should come to me as no surprise because Chicago’s Yelp Ambassador Colleen C. can really throw a party.
