[Melanie- Studio Portrait Session] Chicago Studio Portrait Photographers- Continuum Photography

I met Melanie randomly a few years back photowalking with a Flickr buddy, who in the midst of a photowalk needed to make a jewelry pit stop for a present. So I found myself hanging out in a ritzy jewel store waiting for said buddy to pick out something good for his lady. I struck up a conversation with the small and lively jewel specialist by the name of Melanie and ended up photographing her a few months later. Since then Melanie has been a subject of portraits, dinner companion of Melissa and I, and unparalleled Star Wars fan. A few weeks ago I got a message from her saying her friend had entered her into a national reality TV show and she needed headshots. So we had her over, got her hopped up on caffeine and here are some of the results.

If you hang around me long enough you will eventually be photographed in the Party Glasses. The Party Glasses have been with me for many years, and I’m not exactly sure where I acquired them from. But I do know this… they don’t fit anyone and most of the photos of people who are wearing them are holding them in place with one hand or leaning their head back to keep them from falling off.
