Melissa and I have been in Chicago for a year now and have so far lived in Oak Park, which is just west of the city. As nice a community as it is, we’ve sort of felt like we’ve just been visiting this whole year while all the action was going on in the city….

Welcome to our blog? Blog is a strange word, short for “web log” it’s one of many words that I don’t think really ever needed to be shortened. One of my favorite examples of words not needing shortening is “photog,” a word that really makes me cringe. Let’s just say photographer please! Still it’s exciting…
