Becky & Matt-Featured in The Knot Magazine [Portland Wedding Photographer]

This is so exciting! There is just something really awesome about seeing our photos on the glossy pages of The Knot magazine. Becky & Matt’s summer 2009 wedding at Garfield Park Conservatory is featured in The Knot Chicago’s “Just Married” section of the Spring/Summer 2010 magazine. I’d also like to acknowledge some of our other favorite photographers who also made it into this issue. The very talented Olivia Leigh has a feature in the “Just Married” section. Also, our new friend Dayna Schroeder who also recently moved to Portland from Chicago has four page spread from a wedding she shot at the Galleria Marchetti last summer. The magazine is loaded with beautiful pictures and inspiring ideas. I definitely recommend all our Chicago brides pick up their own copy.

It’s time for round two of this gorgeous wedding. The more I look back at the photos we took at Becky and Matt’s wedding the more I love them. In some of these pictures I can almost imagine little animated hearts coming out of their ears like some old Disney cartoon. They just look so happy it makes me giggle.
I’m going to start posting beefier posts for the remaining weddings because I realized in retrospect that only showing off a handful of images doesn’t really do these events proper justice. We present hundreds of images to our couples and our goal is always to tell the complete wedding story. I want our blog posts to reflect that as well.

[Becky & Matt, Part 1- A Wedding at Garfield Park Conservatory] Chicago Wedding Photographers- Continuum Photography

Becky and Matt were married on June 20th at the Garfield Park Conservatory. We know the venue well having photographed Lisa and Tom’s wedding there a few weekends earlier. But that’s where the similarities end between the two weddings and it’s what we love about being wedding photographers. Though the basic events are the same at most weddings every couple has their own unique love story. The dress, the people, the details are all different.

Becky and Matt are awesome people and their wedding was very romantic and nearly perfect. They started their wedding day apart. Becky got ready with her girls at their condo and Matt got ready with his friends at the Sheraton in downtown Chicago. Even though they have been a couple for years, they decided not to see each other on their wedding day until she walked down the aisle. Their ceremony highlights will be in the next post. Here are the highlight from their time apart.
